This museum is housed in part of the preserved town fortifications from the 14th–16th century, with a Baroque room dating from 1690–1693. The permanent exhibition Komenský for the People, devoted to the life and work of the famous native of Brod, is accompanied by an exhibition of regional history and ethnography entitled Antiquities of the Uherský Brod Region. In addition to these, the museum also manages the ethnographic exhibition The Farmhouse and Farming in Vlčnov. Visitors can also see a series of temporary themed exhibitions prepared as part of the annual exhibitions plan.
The museum also has a large library with some important regional and Komenský-related literature.
