Situated to the east of the historical heart of the town is the new Jewish cemetery and the ceremonial hall. This is the only intact architectural monument to bear witness to the history of the local Jewish community. The cemetery contains 1085 tombstones made from granite, marble and sandstone, often with fine decorations and Hebrew, German and Czech inscriptions. Amongst the tombs there is also a memorial to the learned rabbi Natan Nata, who was slaughtered during a disastrous raid by the kurucs in 1683.

The interior of the ceremonial hall, which dates back to 1906, is covered in plaques with the names of victims of the holocaust, unveiled in 1948. The hall also houses a permanent exhibition on the history of Uherský Brod’s Jewish community.

The Jewish cemetery and ceremonial hall are open to the public; the key is available from the Municipal Information Centre in Uherský Brod.
